Having sewn since I started making doll clothes at age 5 (next April add a zero to that number and you'll know I've been "doing" fabric for 45 years!) I didn't start quilting until 10 years ago. . . however, once I did, the knitting, x-stitch, clothing making all fell to the way side, and now it is like an addiction. . . if I can't do it, I have withdrawal. My husband tolerates this because locally my quilts to fairly well in shows, and once in a while they win something regionally. however, other people can't understand how i can let the house and garden go to sew! it is a great way to feel creative...Helen
