Using both 1-1/2"x12-1/2" of Medium and the same size strip of Bkg...attach Medium to both sides of Bkg...press toward Medium. Cut 8 1-1/2" pieces from strata. (Diagram 2) |

Matching right sides together...place a square from step#9 on one end of 3-1/2"x6-1/2" rectangles of Bkg...stitch just to the outside of diagonal mark...press open to corner. Repeat on other end to create Flying Geese. Turn units wrong side up and trim back to original size. Trim excess fabric on corners if desired. (Diagram 9) |

IMPORTANT: Please square up your finished block to be sure it is 12-1/2". If it is larger or smaller, check your seams and redo if necessary. If you do not check your measurements, your block may not join properly with other blocks easily to create the finished quilt. |
